In case of an actual fire, the seal on the sprinkler head will melt and discharge water on the affected area. The IDCs have multiple chillers and Computer Room AC (CRAC) units to provide air conditioning to meet AT&T N+1 redundancy requirements. The CRAC units are strategically located near the racks to deliver temperature and humidity conditioned air to maintain a room temperature in the range of 75°F. Chilled air is distributed via 30 inch raised floor air plenum, which provides maximum flexibility for increased power and cooling requirements.
